This is a picture of my 7th Grade class at General Grant Jr. High School in Reedley. What a miserable time that was for me. I hated every minute of it. I rode a bus into school from the farm. All the kids had their friends/clicks, etc. and I felt completely on the outside. I will tell you what is interesting . . . when I look at the faces of the kids in this calss it seems like I remember them. Jeez . . .I can't remember the name of the teacher even though in some was she was a friend of the family. The other interesting thing is that my Father who was my Principal in Elementary school, and My Mother who was my 4th grade teacher decided to have me skip 4th grade. I never went to 4th grade. Sometimes I think it was an ego thing for my Father. Well, my birthday was already in October, even in my proper grade I was young. Well, the promotion didn't work out. So, when it came time for Jr. High School, they put me back in my proper grade and sent me into the big city. Miserable I tell you . . .

So, let me get this straight, you skipped 4th but repeated 7th. So two 7th grades equals one 4th. I'm still confused!!!
