This is another letter from Dad to me when I was in Hyampom and he was at Cal State L.A.  If you click on it I think you read the whole thing.  My father was from Kansas, born into a Mennonite family.  This means he was a very conservative States/rights Republican.  I think during the 60's when he was teaching at Cal State Fresno, and Los Angeles, this probably hurt him a little since we were pretty much in a very liberal time.  In fact, I know it did.  Dad was not one to silently keep his opinions to himself.  During the later years of his life, he mellowed just a little into a little more liberal tone, but not very much.
